Clueso Raised $10M for Agentic Video. A Browser Agent Is Not a Signed Script

On 13 October 2026 Clueso published a $10 million Series A, led by Dharana Capital, to build “the agentic video creation platform for businesses.” The homepage demo is a browser agent that is asked for a video announcing new analytics dashboards, then plans the story, writes and voices the script, records the screen, and builds the timeline. That is a capture-and-assemble desk. It is not a sentence Legal will defend, a locked first frame, or a model pick. ClipCanva is not affiliated with Clueso, VEED, Kapwing, or Synthesia. Lock the line on the AI script generator. Recap the long cut on the AI video summarizer. Steal shot language from prompt ideas. Then generate motion on the AI video generator or animate a signed still on image to video. Do not confuse “the agent recorded the product” with “the explainer is signed.”

Product facts (confirmed 14 October 2026)

Source Public claim Workflow implication
Clueso Series A post (Akash Anand, created 13 Oct 2026) “$10M Series A, led by Dharana Capital, with continued participation from Y Combinator and f7 Ventures, and new investors Founders Future and Neotribe Ventures.” TL;DR: an agentic video platform for marketing, sales, customer-facing teams, L&D, operations, and product. “More than 1,000 companies already use Clueso.” A funding and platform announcement. Not a generate-from-prompt model card.
Same post, six capabilities Product & workflow capture (computer agents navigate real products and recapture when flows change); Clueprints (rules for brand, localization, voice, style, motion, captions, music); Video Editor; Video Editing Agent (chat that “can orchestrate recording, scripting, voiceover, motion graphics, and editing”); Deep Integrations; Clueso MCP (Claude or ChatGPT create/edit/manage videos through Clueso). Six desks inside one vendor. Chat is not the signed line.
Same post, “Why we raised” Customers “don’t just want to make individual videos faster. They want a system that understands their business, creates the content their teams need, and keeps that content current.” Capital goes to “agent infrastructure, video creation and editing platform, and our team.” They also write they have been “cash-flow positive from close to the beginning,” and that “more than 80% of the capital came from investors who had already backed Clueso at the seed stage.” Round thesis = keep videos current. That is maintenance, not a new legal claim.
Clueso homepage (fetched 14 Oct 2026) “Agentic video creation platform for every team.” Hero: marketing launches, product demos, training, enablement, internal comms. “Clueso plans, creates, edits, and keeps every video up to date.” Start paths: upload a recording/deck/docs/screenshots; record the screen yourself; “Let the agent record for you”; or prompt with optional references. Same content can become a step-by-step guide. Capture, voice, editor, and help article are other objects.
Clueso pricing (fetched 14 Oct 2026) Named plans: Free, Solo, Business, Enterprise. A site-wide banner: “We raised a $10M Series A! To celebrate, we’re offering 50% off Solo and Business plans this week.” Promo is this week on the live banner. Re-open pricing before you promise a rate. Do not treat a Series A as a credit grant.
SiliconANGLE (Mike Wheatley, 13 Oct 2026) Independent write-up of the same $10 million round. Use it as coverage, not as the investor list. Clueso’s own post is the source for firm names.
VEED AI Video Script Generator Own URL. Hooks, key points, CTAs. Step 03: copy script or generate video. Separate AI Video. Writer and renderer stay different URLs.
Kapwing AI Video Script Generator Own URL. Hooks, talking points, narration, CTAs. After the draft, Kapwing can turn the script into a video. Separate AI Video Generator. Kapwing still splits script and video.
Synthesia (fetched 14 Oct 2026) “AI Video Platform for Business.” Named jobs: avatars from a script, docs/prompts to video, dubbing, translation, screen recorder, motion graphics. Avatar-from-script is still a writer-first path.

Clueso did not publish, on the pages above, a per-second model rate, a promise that the browser agent will keep a regulated claim intact, or a named video foundation model (Veo, Kling, Runway, Omni) behind the capture. The Series A post names Atlassian, GitLab, Zendesk, Gainsight, Legrand, and Samsara as example organizations. That is customer social proof. It is not a license to ship their UI in your ad.

What the $10M agent is — and what it is not

Operators will collapse four objects into “we told the agent to announce dashboards, so the tutorial is done.” The public pages refuse that.

Surface What the public page says it does What it does not do Fail condition
Series A / agentic platform (13 Oct) Fund capture, Clueprints, editor, chat agent, integrations, MCP Sign the claim; pick the pack shot; disclose on YouTube Shipping because the round closed
Product & workflow capture Navigate a real product, record the flow, recapture when the UI moves Invent the benefit line; fix a broken environment Letting the agent click through staging and calling it the launch cut
Video Editing Agent Orchestrate recording, scripting, voiceover, motion, edit via chat Know which sentence Legal signed “Make the analytics announcement” with no approved line
Clueprints Store brand/localization/voice/style/motion/caption/music rules Become the SKU still or the claim Treating “on-brand motion” as “on-claim copy”
Clueso MCP Let Claude or ChatGPT create/edit/manage videos through Clueso Replace the writer on your side of the wall Pasting “announce dashboards” into ChatGPT and calling MCP the brief
VEED / Kapwing script URLs Draft hooks and CTAs on a script URL Capture your SaaS UI, or skip the still Hitting generate-video from an unsigned paragraph
Synthesia avatar-from-script Render a presenter after a script exists Record your product; invent the tutorial steps Dropping a deck on avatars and skipping the walkthrough

If you are sending a browser agent through the product, you are on a capture desk. If the clip still needs a sentence a lawyer will defend, you are on a writer. If you uploaded a photo to animate, you are on a first-frame desk. If you cannot tell which, do not hit generate.

Pick the desk before you send the agent through the UI

The fail is treating “agentic video” as “the Friday enablement cut is covered.” Map the job.

Job Where it actually runs What you must supply What the system may invent Fail condition
One claim the clip must carry AI script generator — or VEED / Kapwing if that is already your writer Audience, seconds, the signed sentence A second CTA, a ranking claim, a competitor name Skipping the card because “the agent writes the script”
Recap of a long cut or webinar AI video summarizer Source cut, claims to keep, claims to strike Compression that changes meaning Feeding a 40-minute demo into the editing agent and calling the recap signed
Product UI that must be real Clueso capture, Loom, or your own recorder — then edit Staging that matches production, the clicks in order A click path through the wrong workspace Recording a feature flag that is off for customers
Still that must stay on-model Stills, then image to video Approved pack shot as frame one Camera path, warped type, a second SKU Letting a prompted “dashboard hero” replace the signed screenshot
Motion from a locked still or prompt AI video generator or a named model on Compare Locked still and/or locked caption, crop, seconds Extra UI chrome, a spoken line you did not approve Generating B-roll first, writing the line never
Avatar talking head Synthesia (from a script) or similar The same signed sentence Gestures, a second promise Reading an unsigned draft because the avatar looked cheap
Brand rules across a library Clueprints, if Clueso is your editor What the brand never does, not only hex codes A layout the rule did not forbid Treating “SF Pro, hard cuts” as “never claims #1”

If the brief is “stop recording every release by hand,” that can be Clueso capture. If the brief is “say this year’s two-pack is back Friday,” that is a writer. If the brief is “MCP will handle enablement because ChatGPT can call Clueso,” you do not have a brief.

VEED still ends the script tool on copy script or generate video. Kapwing still keeps Script Generator and Video Generator as different nav items, then offers to turn a ready script into a video. Synthesia still sells avatars from a script. None of those pages say a $10 million browser agent writes your CTA.

Creator / operator checklist

  1. Read the 13 October sentence out loud. Agentic video platform for businesses. Capture, Clueprints, editor, chat, integrations, MCP. If the next sentence in Slack is “the agent is our scriptwriter now,” stop. Orchestrating a script is not signing one.
  2. Name the surface. Capture ≠ Clueprints ≠ editor ≠ MCP ≠ Veo. Brief the picker you can screenshot.
  3. Cap the spoken line before the agent clicks anything. Use the AI script generator. One sentence. Strike “#1,” unreleased flags, and competitor names you cannot defend. A computer agent will not know which sentence Legal signed.
  4. Put “what the brand never does” in Clueprints, not in chat. The Series A post says Clueprints hold brand and localization rules. If the rule is “no medical claims,” write that in the blueprint. If it lives in a Notion doc the agent never saw, the agent never saw it.
  5. Decide whether the pixels must be your product. A real UI walkthrough is capture. A stylized dashboard hero is image to video or the AI video generator. Mixing them in one eight-second cut is how you show a control that does not exist.
  6. Recapture is maintenance, not a launch. Clueso’s own thesis is that agents can navigate again when the product moves. Schedule the recapture. Do not leave last quarter’s nav in the help center because “the agent will notice.”
  7. Do not spend the banner blindly. 50% off Solo and Business this week is a sentence on a banner fetched 14 October. Re-open pricing before you promise a rate. Plan cards and the comparison table on that page do not always describe minutes the same way — screenshot the SKU you are buying.
  8. Keep MCP as a pipe, not a brief. Claude or ChatGPT creating video through Clueso still needs the signed line on your side of the wall.
  9. Keep VEED / Kapwing / Synthesia as a reminder, not a merge. Their script or avatar-from-script URLs still exist next to their renderers. Yours should too: script then generate or image to video.
  10. Steal shot language, then write four beats. Use prompt ideas. An agent timeline is not a shot list.

Worked example: a dashboard announcement that does not start in the agent

Say the job is an 8-second in-app announcement plus a 60-second tutorial. Legal line approved: New analytics dashboards. Same workspace. Live for every Pro seat on Friday. Someone opened Clueso’s post, saw “computer agents can navigate real products,” saw MCP, saw the $10 million headline, and told the channel “we’ll let the agent record staging and write the script.”

That sentence mixes four desks.

The spoken line is a writer object. Put the approved sentence on the AI script generator. Clueso’s editing agent can orchestrate scripting. It does not store that Legal signed this sentence. If you already live in VEED or Kapwing, their script tools are still script tools. Copy the signed line. Do not hit generate-video from the unsigned agent chat. If the talking head is an avatar, Synthesia still wants a script first.

The beat list is a card object. Steal shot language from prompt ideas, then write four lines, not a chat novel:

  • 0s — locked product still or the real nav, no extra SKU
  • 3s — one motion: the new dashboard opens; labels stay readable
  • 6s — end card with the signed sentence only
  • 8s — stop. No second CTA

The capture pass is a Clueso object, if that is your recorder. Staging must match production. The agent should click the Pro workspace the customer will see on Friday, not an internal flag. Clueprints can keep the typeface and caption style from drifting. That is the whole job of those desks.

The stylized B-roll is a first-frame object. If you need a hero that is not a screen recording, lock a still and animate it on image to video, or generate one scene on the AI video generator after you name the model on Compare. A prompted “analytics galaxy” is not the UI.

If the source is a 40-minute webinar, run the AI video summarizer first. Strike claims. Then write. Then capture or generate. The Series A buys recapture when the nav moves. It does not buy a skip of that order.

FAQ

Did Clueso raise $10 million? Yes, on the company’s own 13 October 2026 post: $10 million Series A led by Dharana Capital, with Y Combinator, f7 Ventures, Founders Future, and Neotribe Ventures. SiliconANGLE reported the same dollar figure the same day. Use Clueso’s post for the investor names.

Does the new agent write a shippable explainer script? The Series A post says the Video Editing Agent can orchestrate scripting along with recording, voiceover, motion, and editing. Orchestrating a draft is not a signed line. Write the claim on a script desk first.

Is this the same job as Synthesia, VEED, or Kapwing? No. Clueso’s public pitch is product capture plus an editor, aimed at business teams that must keep tutorials current. Synthesia’s homepage still leads with avatars from a script. VEED and Kapwing still publish a script generator URL next to a video generator URL. Do not merge them because all four say “AI video.”

Can I skip ClipCanva’s script generator if Clueso MCP is in Cursor? MCP lets Claude or ChatGPT create and edit videos through Clueso. The pipe is not the brief. Keep the signed sentence on the AI script generator (or your existing writer). Then let the agent record.

Should I budget the 50% off Solo and Business banner? Only after you re-open clueso.io/pricing. On 14 October the banner still said “this week.” The post does not publish a round-based credit grant. Screenshot the live SKU.

Does Clueso replace an image-to-video or text-to-video model? Not on the pages cited. Capture is a walkthrough of a real product. If the shot is a pack still or a prompted scene, that is image to video or the AI video generator, with the model named on Compare.
