Does this converter use AI?
No. It applies a fixed luminance formula to the image pixels; it does not use an AI model.
Will transparent areas stay transparent?
Yes. The conversion changes red, green and blue values while leaving each pixel's alpha value unchanged.
Can I restore the original colors later?
No. A downloaded grayscale result no longer contains the original color channels, so the converter cannot restore those colors.
